The Audiodirect Beam is a remarkable product. It is excellent in size, weight and functionality. The sound is very good, starting from a magnificent and flat frequency response, the scene is wide and deep, the separation is noticeable and the presentation is smooth and musical. I find no substantial differences, used with the PC or with the smartphone. The Audirect Beam is probably one of the best sounding portable DAC/AMP’s in its price tag. Good ultra-portable USB DAC that would equip a smartphone or other device with 3.5mm output + increase sound quality + have a better driving ability + would add the new audio formats compatibility.
