4EST + 8BA Electrostatic Balanced Armatures Hybrid Earphones. The ES12 is one of the very few monitors currently utilizing not one, not two, but four innovative Sonion electrostatic drivers from Denmark. The newly developed electrostatic supertweeter from Sonion utilizes ultralight membranes powered by a high voltage miniature transformer, effectively extending the treble response up to 70kHz for incredible detail retrieval, life-like soundstage reproduction, and extremely accurate transient response

Beyond Expectation. The extremely agile treble performance is matched with four Sonion balanced armatures and four Knowles balanced armatures to present a full and engaging listening experience. The combination of these impressive drivers with the integration of three tuning switches allows the listener to create 9 different tuning styles to fit each individual’s ideal sound signature
