Paiaudio DR2

I was recommended these by a friend in a Discord channel I am apart of. He was jumping up and down about the bass and balance and....blah...blah...blah.

So, as the previous reviews state, great bass but not overwhelming at all. Mids and Treble are there and I think very well balanced with the bass. No buzz. Cymbal strikes are right in the sweet spot. Piano, horns, vocals, all parked right where they should be. I am so impressed that these sound as good as they do for the price. I have 130 dollar IEM's that sound good but I would put these up against them any day of the week. I am so impressed.

Just be aware, you will probably need to change the tips. The cable, maybe. I like the sound of the silver-coated copper cables so, up to you. Highly recommended.

The Paiaudio DR2 is a superbly built, warm, bright, V-shaped bass gun with laid back mids and a good timbre.

These are good dynamic earphones. Take it or leave it. Their sonic and haptic qualities with a more conservative bass dosage would put them in the $100+ area in my books.

From the perspective of design and fit, Pai audio DR2 is remarkable. It’s clear that DR2 is tuned for bass lovers; but it can please non-bass lovers too with natural Mids and 3D soundstage.

The DR2's are really very sub-bass. But not only. I'm learning to appreciate more balanced profiles, with higher resolution mids and sharper, more detailed highs. But when I hear EMIs like DR2, I go back to my origins and remember primeval sensations that evoke the power of its lower zone. But, I insist, these IEMs offer quite a bit more, as they have a surprising middle range for such a pronounced V. In addition, they have a good dose of clarity, separation, sharpness and detail. Finally, Paiaudio has given these IEMs an excellent, beautiful, precious and ergonomic construction.

The DR2 is a sub-bass gem, which shines beyond.
