Penon SERIAL

This was my first Penon IEM. Picked it up after watching a review. SOUND: Meaty bass, warm lower mids, neutral mids, nicely balanced upper mids and highs with enough energy to satisfy but below the level where I'd find them fatiguing. Great for classic rock, electronic, jazz, and metal (with the exception technical metal where something leaner/faster would be better). FIT: Absolutely no complaints on the fit. AESTHETICS: I love the multicolor stabilized wood faceplates! ACCESSORIES: Nice cable, good tips, and a pocketable case. OVERALL: While not my daily drivers, they are a very enjoyable pair that I listen to when I'm in the mood for a meaty organic sounding IEM.

First things first.....what a beautiful looking IEM....attractive immediately. For those who are still mesmerized by that old school 'turntable', 'large speaker sound', the richness of the sound the Penon Serial produces, is sublime and brings those memories flooding back. Vocal timbre is exact and the Serial has a timbre that is as close to real 'voices' that I have heard on any IEM. Musical notes are rich and sumptuous, the triple DD copying real life sounds as they are. After burn in there is a spaciousness to the sound-stage, notes have substance almost as if you can grab them from the air. The treble is non intrusive and there is not a hint of sibilance...smooth, buttery. The bass substantial with good note edges, mids made in heaven. The Penon Serial is a unique sounding IEM that holds it's own against allcomers. A thing of beauty. This is the audiophile craft at its best.

Penon Serial, the most musical and fun IEM under 300$? For me YES. This is reminiscent of Vintage Stereo with lush bass full mids and none intrusive treble.

This is also very unique being one of the few multi dynamic driver IEMs out there, this lends itself to having very good timbre and tonality. There is no genre I can find I don't like the Serial with, going from classical to heavy metal. They sound great phone and scale with high end desktop gear, is this the one IEM end them all NO. Is it a IEM worth owning 100%, I would say owning this together with a good detailed tribrid can be all you need in your collection.

Bass is organic and impactful, quite some dB over neutral.
Mids is perfect nothing else to say.
Treble a little recessed and none intrusive while still being detailed.
Detail good to be a Dynamic IEM behind many popular BA sets.
Soundstage quite good and good imaging, not class leading but not bad.
Fun one of the best

The fact that Serial offer a lush cohesive musicality with 3 dynamic drivers is a tour de force by it's own, these are perhaps a dream come true for bass and mid range lover that seek for an all-arounder that is safe for long listening, yet heavy in dynamic articulation. Highly recommended for bass player or lover, male female vocal fans, those who seek holographic layering that single DD can't achieve, those who appreciate natural dense timbre and those who listen to wide range of music like me from classical to jazz to electronic to soul to.

Diffuse Harman with a subtle V, (Amazingly) perfect, perfect timbre, airy yet smooth trebles, introducing a non-fatiguing big-playback, sub-bass emphasis, instead of middle and upper bass, a natural (zero BA timbre) response due to zero BAs used, fun-fast pace due to neutral lower midrange character, accurate bass emphasis, slightly dry midrange character, yet clean like a fresh-pressed shirt, Mid-treble focus, with emphasis in the mid-treble most of all in comparison to the upper treble, great soundstage.
