It actually makes stuff sound more clear and real. Even warmer IEMs playback slightly more warm, but with an increase in midrange soundstage and treble details. Maybe the character is about how the instruments are placed or the tone of the vocals. You can place the Solar with any DAP or any IEM (bright or warm) and reach a level of success. But way more than that, I can assure you it will be the very best you ever heard the DAP or IEM sound.
